Blackstone Waterhouse

Blackstone Waterhouse is proud to announce the appointment of Danny Arraj, Managing Partner, to both the Planning Committee and the Land Committee of the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA NSW).

The UDIA NSW is the state’s leading development industry body. It represents more than 500 member companies and agencies across the public and private sector – from councils and state government departments to academics, lawyers, engineers and developers. UDIA NSW advocates for better planning; timely and affordable housing; effective infrastructure delivery; and the building of vibrant communities to stimulate jobs growth. It has affiliate bodies across Australia.

On his two appointments to this prestigious industry body, Danny Arraj said:

I am honoured to be appointed to two important committees for the UDIA. I’m excited to sit on both committees with genuine thought leaders and industry luminaries across the development spectrum. It reflects market recognition and an increasing awareness of Blackstone Waterhouse as a leading firm in property, planning and construction. I see these appointments as an opportunity to contribute to planning and development policy for the industry – availability of land and means by which to streamline planning processes will be even more critical in an increasingly hard market. I hope to bring my experience of over 20 years acting for both developers and government to the table. I also see this as a fantastic chance to advocate for greater diversity in leadership – both gender and culturally – in senior management roles.’

Veno Panicker, Partner, Blackstone Waterhouse added:

Danny is a genuine industry leader. These appointments, following encouragement from a number of colleagues and clientele, provide further recognition of his experience and genuine policy interest in matters impacting the industry. What a fantastic start to 2019!’
