Veno leads our Construction & Infrastructure team. His knowledge of the legal issues facing the building and construction industries is second to none. Veno has more than 15 year’s experience using his legal skills to help construction industry players reach a best for project outcomes. From tender and project delivery through to claims and completion, Veno can assist across the project lifecycle. His clients include major and mid-tier contractors, developers and consultants and he has advised on transactions involving residential and commercial developments, as well as road, rail, defence, renewable energy and social infrastructure projects. Veno is an expert in dispute resolution and has strong experience in facilitated negotiation, mediation and alternative dispute resolution, cross-border arbitration, adjudication, litigation and expert determination.


  • Acting for First Solar Inc. on the Nyngan and Broken Hill Solar Farm Projects.
  • Acting as part of the team advising Consolidated Contractors Company  on one of the largest ever LNG pipeline arbitration disputes In Australia.
  • Advising a major international developer on developing a protocol for managing defects claims in residential developments.
  • Advising a major renewables concern on amending its standard EPC sub-contract for the region.
  • Successfully negotiating and resolving a $45million multi-party dispute for a major head contractor as part of the NBN Project. The dispute involved over 2000 variations and claims for delay costs and preliminaries across 10 sites and 5 states.
  • Acting for Lend Lease in landmark decisions, including Intercon v Lend Lease Project Management & Construction (Australia) Pty Ltd [2014] NSWCA 46 and Lend Lease in Wright v Lend Lease Project Management & Construction (Australia Pty Ltd [2014] NSWSC 441.
